About Priyanka AminDr. Priyanka Amin is an attending psychiatrist at UPMC Western Psychiatric Hospital’s Psychiatric Emergency Services (PES). She is the Medical Director of Patient Safety for UPMC Western Psychiatric Hospital (WPH) and is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry for the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Dr. Amin is passionate about safety, quality, and well-being and served as the first Chief Resident for Well-Being at UPMC WPH. She has also been an active member of the Critical Incident Stress Management ASAP Staff Support team at UPMC WPH and a volunteer and trainer for UPMC’s Physicians for Physicians, a peer support program for physicians following adverse events. Prior to medical school, she worked as an EMT and initially thought she was going to be an EM physician until discovering the niche of emergency psychiatry. |
