About Layla Soliman

Dr. Soliman completed her undergraduate training at Wayne State University, and went on to earn her MD at the Medical College of Ohio. She completed her residency training and forensic psychiatry fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Currently, she works and teaches at Atrium Health in Charlotte, on the adult psychiatric inpatient unit. She serves on the board of the American Association of Emergency Psychiatry, as the organization's liaison to AFFIRM research. Her academic interests include applying forensic concepts to clinical care, and talking to patients and families about firearm safety.
